Pieta, white marble, 1993

The title Pieta is borrowed from Catholic iconography and reflects the sense of mourning or loss found in the original image. This sculpture addresses consumer culture and the disposability of cultural artifacts.

David, white marble, 1994

This is my iconoclastic version of the heroic David figure. It took 2 years to finish. I threw in every technique that I could come up with to create interesting surfaces and textures. The original model was an assemblage and changed the direction of my sculpture.
